Sep 5, 2017She was born September 1, 1937, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, the daughter of Walter L. and Freda (Collar) Welch.Nina was a graduate of Verona High School in Verona, Missouri. She married Charles R. Smith of Cassville, Missouri, in 1956 and had three children. She later became an occupational therapist for the Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, Missouri. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church.She is survived by her son, Paul Smith and his wife, Donna, of Cassville; two daughters, Paula Parks and her husband, Don, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Pam Gayler of Republic, Missouri; one sister, Clara Bounous of Monett; one brother, Walter R. Welch of Purdy, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Eugene Klinginsmith of Festus, Missouri; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.Her parents, Walter and Freda and her sister, Betty Klinginsmith, preceded her in death.Visitation will be held from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora at a later date.
